These are the words that were spoken to me by my special Van Cott patron who had breast cancer. We walked beside one another during our area's annual Breast Cancer Walk four years ago. As I learned about her battle with stage 4 breast cancer, I noticed she was totally dressed in pink including a bandana to cover her hair loss from intense chemotherapy treatment. She strained to walk from the emotional and physical duress of the disease but, she held her head high along with hundreds of other courageous women who are fighting for their lives. These women have a dream to beat this devastating disease and to embrace life.
In the past four years I have worked with the walk coordinator, Gina Chapman, to participate in contributing keepsake items. It is a great feeling to see the look on a survivor's face as her name is called and she is presented with a symbol of camaraderie.
The strength and determination of these women and their families was my sole inspiration when designing the "Love Life" © pendant.
The "Love Life" © pendant in Sterling Silver or Gold is a keepsake that reaffirms my belief in celebrating life to the fullest and my wish for others to share that feeling!
